A Pond rule

I am the Pond. My surface can represent many things to you. It can be foggy or rippled and unclear. It can be mirror-clear, reflecting back, with perfect clarity, all around it. Or it can be smooth with a pronounced depth, a richness, a knowledge that there is more than you see on the surface. See the world around you in the same way. At times it can be a foggy representation of what's there, a mirror of what lies in your soul, or it can carry the sheen of a reflection of what's in your soul. It can speak of great depth. I am the Pond. Each time you look at me, see your world around you.

rule

Steep yourself in our waters. Steep yourself in the forest, in the trees, the flowers and birds. Allow yourself to believe that you belong, that you are a part of this. Know how it calls to your inner being. Steep yourself in activities that you love - dance, song, movement, creativity. For as you steep yourself in the things that you love, you come to know that you have created a world that supports you. When you feel unsupported, rest by the wash of a river, by the stillness of a pond, by the vast possibilities of a starry night. Come back often to whatever calls to you the most and rest in that. For it touches the deepest core of who you are. Then as you bring that back into your busy life, avocation and activities, you bring with you your sense of place. We are the Pond. Come to us often to visit your freedom.
