Our energy is in the energy of full participation in life. We charge forward in life with delight and enthusiasm, eager to see the next days' gifts and the next days' challenges. Fully consumed with this sort of energy, we have no thoughts or sensation of lack when the conditions are not ripe for growth. We feel no sense of loss when one of us is cut. Instead, we continue to hold this combination of gathering and expanding energies that burst forth in glorious flower when the time is right and droop in glorious completion when the time is finished. Be like us.

Regardless of our expression, whether it appears to be one of hardship or one that appears to be courage, the inner expression that gives us life is one of great joy. We take joy in all expression, regardless of its form, regardless of its size, regardless of its nature, for it is our nature to be this expression. When you listen to us, listen then, with a heart that understands this joy, and the message you get will be a message of inner truth. We are Black Eyed Susan. Be with us.

We speak to you from behind the shadows, from over the hills and from the unexpected places. You may find yourself startled as you meet up with us upon turning a corner. Allow yourself to be startled, surprised, impressed by the punctuation mark we place upon the landscape and know that you can still endear yourself to the unexpected twists and turns that life can bring.
